Brake light not turning on 98 civic sedan ex
Alright so my pedal pad that turns the brake lights on or off broke and drained my battery. It sat like that a couple days, just now i fixed it and jumped the battery/ let it recharge via the alternator. However i noticed my left brake light wasnt turning on. Ive done everything in hopes of fixing it nothing seems to work.
all other tailights/brake lights work, replaced the bulbs with new ones/swapped with known working ones, checked fuses. The running lights work but they wont get brighter when the pedal goes down. So if i turn the headlights on the brake lights up like normal but it doesn't get brighter to distinguish that im braking and dont just have the lights on. Its strange and i have nothing else to try so i figured id ask here for input.
again this is the inner brake light on the drivers side (left) on a 1998 civic ex sedan thats faulty(?)
