Car wouldn't start, two white plastic bump stops in footwell, fixed but interesting.
Did a track night at Daytona the other day (weather cancelled the bulk of it unfortunately). After my first session the car refused to start, no starter click or anything. First though was dead starter after 20 years, but then I spotted some broken plastic pieces in the driver's footwell, looked like white shirt buttons but with a couple pieces that were clearly tabs to snap into a round hole. I'd just replaced the brake switch bumper stop on my wife's Solara, and these were clearly the same type of thing, I was just surprised the brake AND clutch would also have gone. I could see the hole for the clutch-out trigger, and just assumed the other one was the brake, although the brake lights were still working correctly (off at pedal extension.) Ordered a new starter, and got a couple of new pedal stopper pads (part no. 46505-SA5-000 )
Finally contorted myself into the footwell this afternoon, only to see that the brake stopper pad was still in place (hence the brake still working.) Glanced at the clear-as-mud diagram for the parts system, and sure enough there's a SECOND pad for the clutch-fully-depressed position. Complete pain to get there, ended up using tape on the end of a long screwdriver to negotiate the replacement stopper into position for that top hole. A push-start got me going at the track, but in case anybody encounters a nonstarting car and finds a bit of white plastic in the footwell, this is your likely culprit. Your ITR has two of these on the clutch pedal. Or maybe it's just cars with retrofitted GS-R Cruise Control, it's been a while.
The top one is easily swapped by taping the bump stop tab thingy to a screwdriver and popping it into position.

They look like crayon tips when they break . I live in Arizona and they last about ten years out here. Much easier to put in when they break themselves out .

I swear down in Florida, I get about 10 or so years out of the originals on several manual hondas before they just fall off.
Though it seems automatic cars don't seem to break, had a 97 Integra and my parents odyssey, both with 200k+ miles and neither broke off.
