Do you mean the brake warning light on your dash comes on occasionally?
If so, it could be that your system has a slow leak or low pressure when you press the brakes. It could be an issue with the brake pressure sensor in the reservoir cap as well.
Check your brake fluid level and check for leaks.

I found it to be a loose fit between the brake bulb and the socket in the bck light housing. Bulb was so old it had almost worn out the little lip that fits the groove, changed bulb, problem solved.
