Timing Belt Change (Aisin Kit or OEM Parts?)
We have a 2015 Odyssey EXL RES and it's got about 95,000 miles on it. I am going to change the timing belt and have that there is an Aisin aftermarket kit (TKH-002). It contains the parts in the image below (Timing Belt, Water Pump, Idler, Adjuster and Tensioner). I was wondering if I should get the OEM Honda parts instead? I belt in this kit is not by by Unitta (which the OEM is) and I think the water pump on the OEM is by Yamada.
It is a savings to get this kit, but I don't want to mess up our van.
Could you let me know your thoughts?
Thanks!

Just did an Aisin water pump on a MDX (nearly the same engine) as Honda was backordered with no ETA on pumps. Was a great looking part but that is no surprise as they are an OE manufacturer for Honda. The old water pump that came off the engine was an Aisin pump that also had Honda cast into it. Other than the missing Honda mark it was an identical pump.
I would have no concerns running the full Aisin timing belt kit.
Gates used to make decent timing belt kits but their water pumps have really gone to garbage. Leaking around the shaft seals from day one and just poor looking castings.
