Honda Civic 2015 LX Transmission Fluid
Hi, I'm new to this forum and I'm definitely not a car guy. My partner bought a used Honda Civic LX with for about $7300. It has about 60K miles on it and the transmission fluid was really dark. My partner can't afford to take it to the shop so I decided to change it for them, I watched a video, tried my best but I'm afraid I might've done something wrong. Nothing seems terrible right now, but when I undid the check bolt and topped off the fluid until it began to leak from the check hole, I let it leak for a while, and I'm not sure if I was supposed to do that. The transmission seems okay, but it's a little jerky. I might just be paranoid, but I wanna make sure I didn't **** up my partner's car, they really can't afford another one and they need it. I watched this video on how to do it:
Any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you. So I'm asking if the small bit of jerkiness I'm feeling is okay or normal, or if it's a bad sign. And if I shouldn't have let the fluid leak from the check hole until it stopped. Thanks.
