I have a 1997 Honda Civic 6gen EJ9 (european model), OBD1, no airbags, no aircon, no abs.

Can this car have new airbags installed, and where could I buy new ones ? Direct from Honda ? Or is there a 3rd party option ? Does anyone know any european supplier ? I am from Slovenia.

I want it to be safe and legal. So airbag has to be new, and possibly not Takata (for safety reasons because of the recall).

Do I need a different front console ( the one I have now, has no airbag part on the passenger side ). On the drivers side the airbag is in the steering wheel so that doesnt affect the front console.
