97 Civic Coupe EX Clunk in rear end after rebuild
Common question, but not able to find an answer so my bad if my search did not come up with it already being posted. I just replaced every rear suspension component in my 97 Civic Coupe EX. Struts, trailing arm bushing, control arms....all of them and on both sides. I still get a clunk when hitting bumps. Very frustrating as all of the suspension was worn out and I naturally assumed that an entire rebuild, which it needed, would solve all the noise problems. NOPE. Still there. Sounds like a strut is slapping or something like that. Does not seem to come from that specific area, just that is what the noise is like. It seems to be coming from towards the rear end of the trunk.
Anyone have any ideas what could be lose (I had a 4 wheel alignment done right after the rebuild with all bolts re-torqued) or if there is something blindingly obvious that myself and a Honda tech missed?
Thanks in advance!

I replaced struts, control arms, trailing arm bushings, hub assembly. Everything is new on both sides. It’s so odd, sounds like a body “pop” sort of. Normally these noises are easy for me to pinpoint but this one has me stumped. All of the bushings were shot, thought a complete rebuild would solve it.
