2018 Odyssey showing many error messages after service from the dealer
Two days ago we brought our Odyssey into the dealer for some recalls, software update, and a service. Car seemed fine when we picked it up. The next day upon starting the vehicle we got multiple error messages pertaining to the safety systems e.g. problem with lane keep assist, adaptive cruise, collision mitigation, auto high beam adjustment, and several others. None of those features are working and the error messages are very persistent. Brake system light is also on. We let the service department know right away. They asked us to bring the car in to look at it. We were hoping it would be some sort of simple system reset. The service manger came back and said that the camera in the windshield was likely damaged in the heat (heat in our area has not been unusual) and that the car is out of warranty by a few months. That's it. How can we approach this with the dealership and/or Honda? This really does not seem right. From our perspective, we brought in a working vehicle and a non working vehicle was returned to us.
With a good attitude it will likely be good willed being just outside of warranty. You can also take it to another dealer but likely you will need some positive history with the dealership to honor a good will repair.
This just happened to me with my pilot! Had it serviced and 2 days later the same lights went on. Can you let me know how it was resolved? Thank you
