I am going to swap in the 2000 Civic SI compressor. I know I have to use the EG bracket but the VX is much more expensive but is aluminum.

Question is most of the brackets on our vehicle are what material? Can it be easily cut? I need to know because the EG bracket has a motor mount that needs to be cut off.

 

Cast Iron from what I can tell, and its not difficult to cut.

 

Yeah, the brackets are cast iron.
