Introductions: Hi Honda-Tech Peoples
Hello Everyone,
I have had this User for about 10 years and just now using it.
I’m 43 years old and my first Honda was an 1989 Prelude Si automatic. I bought it for $1500 with about 160k back in 1997. I drove that for about 3 years till my neighbor showed up with a 2000 Civic Si.
I had to have one.
Couple months went by and I convinced my dad to co-sign for me. I owned it for about 5 years and had the horrible idea of trading it in for the 2005 Civic Si. I regretted that decision about 30 miles into driving the new car. Sold it 2 years into owning it. In the end purchasing a 2007 Aveo5 that got great MPG but still no fun.
I sold the Aveo5. It lasted so many years (14 years) w/o any issues. I’d have to admit for a price tag of $9.5k out the door it was a great investment.
My Return July 17th 2021
I found and purchased a 1992 Honda Civic CX. All original minus the aftermarket rims and incorrect tire size.
this is 100% awesome. All blue interior with leather OEM seats. And the best part…. 78k on the OD with original motor. It even has the OEM Canadian manufactured Sticker in the engine bay. 100% power nothing. All it came with as options was the AC. Not even a Radio! No antenna! No rear wiper! It also came with no power! LOL! I think it’s rated at 70 or 71 chipmunks. Or maybe it was ponies.
so my introductory question is, I’m looking for a 99/00 B16A2 with the matching EM1 trans.
I loved the pair. Such a wonderful engine with the perfect gearing. And somehow I even received excellent MPG.
Can someone direct me to a company or individual who sells non rebuilt motors and trans. My plan is to rebuild it myself. Being that my engine only has 78k on it I think I have some time to build a decent DD.

What’s the big deal about the 92 CX? I recently read that the blue interior was one of the rarer interior choices.
I will be replacing the 16” wheels with 15” 195/50s.
Other than that I have been finding OEM replacement parts such as wiper arms, cup holders, rear cargo cover, original spare and jack… extra broken or missing plastic screws and such.
attempting to bring it back to life even with a new clear coat. Purchased some OEM Honda UKDM frost white touch up paint.
One thing I been trying to diagnose is the wiper controls at the steering wheel. It seems to not work in Low unless and first put it to high. Also the arms never return back. I have to time it.
id buy a new wiper control arm but I’m afraid it wouldn’t fix the issue and I’d waste $40.
