Sad news...OG ITR owner Austin has passed away.
It's with a heavy heart that I recently learned that Austin had passed way this past Friday of a possible pneumonia related health problem. His SN was simply Austin. https://honda-tech.com/forums/members/austin-3535/
I remember him being very active in this forum for many years and was always willing to lend a hand to some of the local NorCal ITR and well, Civic Si owners like me.
RIP Austin. 1976-2021

This is so sad, we hadn’t talked in years and years but I remember going out playing pool with the itr crew, myself, Dion (thepunk) and more on Friday nights. We also made the journey with others to the first itr expo in Buttonwillow.
All good memories, thanks for posting this and letting me know, Yoda.
RIP Austin.

I hadn't spoken to him since 2017 when he told me the red hatch I sold him had burned in the fires. Austin was the whole reason I discovered HT way back in the day. I met him outside of a Bank of America and he was always on level 10 when it came to enjoying his ITR. Through out the years he was always the first to get the first of a bunch of stuff. Anyone remember Comptech and Apex tuners? I remember I always all the goods he was snatching up.
Rest in peace Austin! I hope you're tearing it up in heaven homie.

Damnit man. Austin was a great friend. No matter how much time had gone by he would randomly check in to see how I was doing.
As all of us old guys grew up it became harder to see each other with busy lives.
Tried to drag him out to the West Coast Expo at Thunderhill a few years back, but he couldn’t make it.
Wishing now we had more of a chance to hang out cooking or doing car nerd stuff. Rest in Peace.
I am going to try and dig up some old photos I have of all of us.

Very unfortunate to hear. He is my age. Very upsetting when people like him leave this earth too soon. Not enough helpful people out there.
So sad to read this - even much later than it was originally posted.
I got to witness his generosity and kindness one day back in 2006~. He helped me get home save from Buttonwillow back to NorCal and drove along side me as I limped at 50mph~ after bending a tie rod..
Oh man, that didn't feel that long ago. Rest In Peace brother - I will forever remember your kindness.

Just now seeing this.. RIP Austin. Seemed like a good guy, straight shooter. Still remember expo at Buttonwillow with him like it was yesterday.
