H23A w/ BC Stage 2 Camshafts: Cam Degreeing
I'm building a H23A bluetop and I'm using the Brian Crower stage 2 NA camshafts. I'm using the H23A block and bottom end, and a H22A head that I had built. Using the BC cam card, I set cam timing using both their indicated cam timing events at 0.050" lift and using the centerline method, double checking everything. Both methods resulted in the exhaust side at +4 (advanced) and +2 on the intake side. I know this isn't a wild camshaft profile so I'm a little surprised at the number of degrees it needed to be advanced. I figure the H22A head probably had some previous milling done which I would think would cause the cam timing needing to be advanced, correct?
Any of you set cam timing with these camshafts and if so what did you end up with?
