Default Engine rebuild

So eventually I'm gonna be doing a rebuild on my engine cause I'm 60 percent sure I'm losing coolant to a failing head gasket buuuut it isn't like bad bad just starting if it is. However there's other signs the engine isn't doing great (soft stutter here and there, acts like its gonna stall, etc) so I'm gonna just do it all instead of piecing it and asking for a bigger mountain of trouble. So I found https://www.ebay.com/itm/122540432123 and was wondering is this a good kit or should I look elsewhere? Part of issue is I can't find a non race one on Summit (and I'd ask but last time I asked for help I got links to GM Chevy parts) or Amazon keeps giving me bloody Toyota kits or oversized kits. Also is the pistons of aluminum silicon alloy a good kind or no? I can't find anything on non race pistons and it is driving me nuts lol. Trying to keep my girl stock as much as possible. Thanks in advance.

Year, Make, Model, Trim vehicle?

Kind of hard to provide accurate information when no information is given.

98 Honda Civic LX with a d16y8 engine but I was able to figure out my pistons are fine so I don't need to worry about pistons at least. Rest I am doing though.

why?

And, how do you know your piston rings are fine?

Really, I would just do the head gasket and call it a day. The bearings last for a very long time.

Because the people I bought from make Ebenezer Scrooge look like a shopping addict. They blew a rod thru the y7 stock engine (pieced that together from the half melted thermostat they didn't changed out) from overheating the engine and they cheaped out on the distributor, battery, and other parts. Thus why I'm doing the rebuild. I have no idea what third party jury rigged half redneck junkyard they got the y8 from but I ain't taking a chance. As for the pistons, I double checked signs pistons are going and no boxes are ticked there. Oil level is steady, no weird exhaust smell or smoke, etc.

If pistons are fine, no smoke, oil levels staying good, then you just need to fix the head gasket, update timing belt, water pump and thermostat with quality, do a valve lash and you will be good to go.

When you do the head gasket make sure to check both the head and the block for flatness. You may very likely need to have the head resurfaced to flat if the engine has been over heated.

That would also be a good time to completely drain the coolant and refill with proper coolant and distilled water.
