Default HOW TO MAKE SURE COILOVER IN YOUR CAR CAN LAST THE WHOLE LIFETIME?

Just like other car parts on your vehicle, coilovers should be maintained regularly and to make sure they can last long enough time. We would like to provide some advices that you might think useful on coilovers’ common maintenances.

1. Do some cleaning

In extreme weather, such as rainy season or during winter, coilover can get dirty very quick. And the dirt and moisture could form rust and corrosion which will damage your coilovers gradually.

For easiest and quickest way to remove dirt, you can use a pressurized air gun or water hose. If you want the work to be done thoroughly, you could take coilovers off and brushing them with soapy water.

2. Re-tighten Screws and Bolts

To prevent any abnormal noises, you could retighten any screws and bolts in your suspension system.

3. Coilovers Covers

Covers are quite pricey but I would say they are worth the price because they can keep dirt, debris and water away from your coilovers, especially during winter or the rainy season.

4. Use Corrosion Protectant

Just as the name suggest, it can preven your coilover from corroding. And remember, it is better if you can take off coilovers while you clean and apply the corrosion protectant. By doing this you can make sure every important part is coated thoroughly.
