Need help with power steering lines, please
Hi all,
I have a 96 VTEC. Rack and pinion went out so I bought a new one. The problem is that the original fittings were so rusted that I had to cut the lines. I've been searching my manuals and the internet trying to find the correct fitting sizes. High pressure line is replaced. Or what do I need to get to just make lines like with AN fittings?
Thanks!

These are the parts I used when I put in an electric/hydraulic pump.

How do you get the adapter to seal?? Also,, my problem is now I've found that on my 96, the VSS fittings are M12x1.0 and the return fitting is M14x1.0.
can I get away with retapping the threads to a 1.5 pitch? Thats much easier to find.
It seals on the internal flare in the pump, but I recall one of the fittings not sealing perfectly (a little too short maybe?) and I needed to use a copper crush washer.
I didn't do anything else with the VSS but loop the lines at the trans, because my VSS is from a 5th gen which doesn't have the power steering fluid ports.
