Immobilizer issues
Thank god I found this because my 06 si is doing the same thing and I have tried everything! It’s literally been sitting in my driveway for 6 months and I only had it a few weeks when it happened! I found a service bulletin from 2006 that talks about the problem but I brought mine to the dealership and they want to charge me 1500$ to change the MICU and immobilizer but I know I can do it cheap than that! The service bulletin is 06-036! I hope y’all figure this out because I’m doing all I know with no luck and I have a used MICU on its way!!!! I don’t have any programming tools besides a few diagnostic tools so I’m not too savvy on all that so maybe if y’all get this figured out I can pay one of y’all to help me or I’ll keep checking and giving my updates and hopefully together we can figure this thing out!
So tell me this because I was thinking I could just hard wire the fuel pump directly and the car should run with the immobilizer on or are there other things the immobilizer shuts down on the car?
Immobilizer shuts down fuel pump, fuel injectors, and ignition coils. Dead as it gets. No hot wiring the fuel pump.
If you are getting another MICU find a locksmith that will come do an immobilizer relearn in your driveway after swapping the MICU.

I figured it did more than the fuel pump! That would be too easy! I saw a video where a guy jumped the wire on a lotus going into the MICU headed to the immobilizer to the one coming back out so that it was connected at the point before the MICU and after it ran to the immobilizer and back through the MICU before it goes back to the ECU! If that makes any sense!! But basically the 2 wires behind the MICU going from the computer & back to the computer after it went to the immobilizer so I guess that’s basically what a immobilizer bypass does huh?!?! They made it look easy but that seems like it would work but then again it doesn’t?!?! If the computer and immobilizer are really communicating then just completing the circuit wouldn’t fix anything I wouldn’t think! But thank you !!!! I really hope it’s that easy!!!!
