Default Engine struggles to accelerate.

Engine falls on its face for like 1 second and then runs fine again for 30 sec and does it again and no power increase over 4000 when its supposed to pick up... no cel... thinking maybe needs a timing belt... jumped a tooth maybe or a weak fuel pump??

Default Re: Help please

If it dies at 4,000RPM, you more than likely have a CEL because that's the LIMP Mode rev. limit.

If its behaving like that, you could have a camshaft sencor issue, i remeber ididnt have mine pluged in properly and it fell off loose while driving.., the stupid thing would not allow me to go over 4000 rpm.. got home relized what stupid thing ive done plugged it in, and could red line all day again.
if that doesnt help, have a look at your
Throttle Position Sencor
Oxegen sensor, upstream*(air/fuel)
Air Intake Temperature sencor.
Check and make sure everyrhing is in place. No loose electrical connections.

If you still got problems after the fact then have a look at your fuel injectors and/or fuel pump pressure...

When mine went into limp mode it would not accelerate anyshit after 4000k. The fuel cutted off at 4k , cant accelerate if theres no fuel.
