I was causing down the road with my cruise control, came into a town and it would not disengage. I couldn't stop. I couldn't cancel it or turn it off. I had to push the brakes until they smoked and I finally got it slow enough to turn the car off and when re starting it immediately goes to red line rpms I then disconnected the wire harness from the cruise control module under the hood and it stopped. So it isn't a stuck throttle cable, its got to be electrical. Any ideas what the problem may be?
