Default Max height coilover adjustment

Recently purchased a 99 sedan that already had skunk2 pro-S coilovers installed. Going for the sleeper look for the first time, and I tried to raise it to the max height. There is a little window/peephole so you can see the threads when you raise it, so you don’t go excessively high. I have mine as high as possible, while still seeing just a tad of the threads through the peephole. My question is, has anyone ran coilovers HIGHER than what’s recommended without any issues? If so, how much higher above that peephole have you safely driven the car?

So in this picture, I’ve raised the coil sleeve to the veeeeery top of that little peephole window, which is as high as I could go while still seeing just a bit of the thread. If I were to lower the car you would see the thread beginning to show itself more and more through that hole. The farther I raise the car up, the less amount of thread is IN the shocks lower body. If you can imagine taking the coilover completely off the car and raising it all the way, eventually the whole coilover would detach from the lower body.

i see. i am not familiar with these Skunk2 coilovers, never used them before. seeing where the hole is, i understand they want to put a limit on the length of threaded engagement with the body. any more is risking the possibility of the lower mount breaking i assume. personally i THINK it could go a tad higher, but it wont gain you much if youre trying to hit stock ride height.

it also seems like the spring perch is as high as it can? or can that go higher? because to really get back to stock ride height, you need to preload the spring a lot. because the OEM springs are massively preloaded. but if you cant get that perch higher... then thats just as high as you can go.
