Under dash brake lever solenoid?
Hi I'm kind of a new owner of a 1990 EF Honda Civic and I've had a few problems with this so far I put a new alternator to start with I just replaced the clutch and I put new spark plugs in changes the oil a few times within the last 5,000 miles and I'm having a problem with the brake lever that once it retracts it pushes a solenoid little button and when it's pushed in it's okay but when it pushes out and the break is engaged the my stereo seems to be grounding out and turning off and my headlights are dim as can be I had my work on my clutch done by someone I know not a mechanic so maybe some thing got changed along the way and it isn't working out also right after changing the clutch my throttle cable was grounding out to where it melted little plastic piece that's that holds it in place on the firewall to where I could not push the gas at all so I actually took a throttle cable from a Chrysler 300 and put it in and it surprisingly worked but now I seem to be having the problem with the brake cable or brake lever shorting out any suggestions help you
First, I would organize your paragraph a little better and use sentences lol.
If your headlights are dimming (they weren't before, right?), I would check out the terminal connections to the battery as well as all the grounds in the engine bay. There should be one going to the trans-> frame -> battery and also one going from the top of the engine to the frame. There's several more around the headlights, make sure they're clean and tight. I can't figure out what you mean with the brake issue, is the brake light coming on all the time, not at all, or intermittently?

Sorry I didn't think about it I must have been too high when I wrote that.
But other than that thank you very much that it was exactly the problem. the grounds. the person that I had hired to install the new clutch must have tried to skip a step or two and they put the ground straight from the transmission too the battery. And tucked the original ground wires underneath the headlight.
