Engine Vibration in car. Motor Mounts?
I'm probably answering my own question here but I just want to be absolutely sure on this. I have a 95 4 cylinder accord. So around november my car started vibrating and shaking. Lack of acceleration sometimes and it shakes worse when the ac is on. Around that time I noticed the drivers side mount was broken. Thought that was the issue. Still vibrated. So I had the rear one replaced. Now it comes and goes. Sometimes I'll drive my car just fine on the road and freeway. And sometimes it comes back and shakes. I tried to have the front mount replaced but we couldn't get it out because of the bolts on the frame. But It was definently broken. The middle of it where you put a bolt through it just came off.
So it shakes sometimes and sometimes it doesnt. But I definitely want to be sure because I'm gonna have that front mount replaced. Is this a motor mount issue or something else?

This could probably be answered better but I'll just say that it sounds like there could be a reason your mounts keep going bad or are bad in the first place. That doesn't mean your mounts weren't bad just because of age and they needed replacing BUT if there is a drivetrain related problem like a torque converter or engine misfire then you might have bad mounts from that. Also, if you drive with even 1 bad mount, theres a good chance its going to wear out your other mounts to the much

Sounds like the symptoms of a bad rear mount in particular. The rear mount is vac-actuated in the automatic model, and the amount of vibration it lets into the cabin when it is bad is truly shocking. Front and side mounts would have to be changed at the same time, since when one mount goes usually all are gone.
Simplest thing to check though, there is a vaccum line that goes to the rear mount, check to make sure it hasn't come off.
Re replacement mounts, I haven't had good luck with aftermarket brands like Anchor, they are cheap but don't tend to last. On the other hand OEM honda mounts are hideously expensive. If you can do the labour yourself then cheap mounts are ok since it doesnt cost to change, but if you are paying a mechanic to do it, may as well put the right mounts the first time.

If you are replacing the rear mount on an automatic you will want to put back the vac line. You will get crazy vibration without it, like the kind of vibration that shakes your dashboard apart.
Just unplug it from the old mount and plug it back into the new one. If your new rear mount is "solid" without the vac, you may get increased vibration.
