New member, first post. I have a 2013 Honda Accord Sport and last Saturday morning, without warning, the car will not shift out of park, and the display does not show a "P" for being in park. Checked all fuses and they are all good. I replaced the shift interlock solenoid and still no change. Checked all the fuses again and they are all good. Checked the brake light switch and it checks out good but have not replaced it. I can push the shift lock release and change gears and the R, N, D and S shows on the display but once back in park the P still does not display and the key does not release until unhooking the battery. Anyone have similar issues or have suggestions I would be happy to hear. Thank you!
Re: 2013 Honda Accord Sport won't shift out of Park
Take a look at the harness wire and connector to the Transmission Range Switch (circled). One possibility is that the blue wire for the Park position that goes from the switch connector to the PCM may be damaged by rodent chew.

Thanks for the suggestion, you were right! Blue wire is missing a whole section and the black wire is almost chewed in half. Pesky varmints!

The black wire is the ground source to the transmission range switch. The blue wire is the Park position wire. Probably have to splice in new wiring to repair the damaged wires.
