The second runner opens up at 5800 RPMS... that's when you get that extra boost and sound.
You can stop breaking it in at maybe 700 miles, don't wanna baby it too much, it likes to go vroom.

Second runner? The typeS has a single runner manifold. The base model has a dual runner/stage manifold. Vtec hits at 5800 RPM on a stock RSX Type S. Follow dLo GSR's instructions I didn't hit VTEC till 500 miles...and didn't go much above that until 1,000 miles. Also, it's not just the RPM you take it to, it's how hard you drive the motor too!

edit: Even after 5k still drive the car nicely, you dont have to drive like a dumbass or a 16 year old ignorant kid to drive fast or enjoy its proformance
