D16Z6 intake + B16A2 TB on D15Z6.
I have a 97 pre-facelift EK3 4 door with the EUDM D15Z6 VTEC-E engine. I am going to convert it to full VTEC by using the cam + bridge from either a D16Z6 or D16Y8. With this I also wanna change the intake manifold, TB and fuel rail + injectors.
I haven't sourced a cam + bridge yet but I did find a D16Z6 IM + fuel rail + injectors and a B16A2 TB. I will obviously have to port match the IM but that's fine.
What I wonder.. can I run the D16Z6 IM + fuel rail + injectors on the D15Z6 ECU for now? The ECU I have right now is a stock P2Y OBD2b one and afaik the D16Z6 parts are OBD1. Do I need to use either a conversion harness or just run the D15 injectors and sensors in the D16 IM? I am going to convert it to either a flashed P28 or a Hondata S300 once I get my cam stuff but for now I kinda wanna stay on the stock ECU.

Is it recommended to leave the coolant hoses connected to the IM? I live in the Netherlands so we do get kinda cold winters.. kinda..
Now I hope none of the sensors is messed up cause I kinda wanna keep the sensors that came with the IM in it so I can sell my D15Z6 IM with everything in it.
Let's get started.
I do still have to source a B16A2 TB so if anyone from EU has one for sale for a couple of tenners..
