AC Recharge issue - Civic 97
I've got one that I haven't been able to find on the internet.
I've added a new evaporator, new expansion valve, new drier, new condenser, new fan (it was broken fan came off), the only thing I have reused is the AC compressor, which prior was working. I've added 4 ounces of PAG46 oil to the compressor after letting it sit for about an hour also spun it around.
I've flushed all the lines, with AC flush and canister kit.
I've pulled a vacuum and had it stay at -30 for a little over 30 mins. No leaks. The system says it take 22.9 oz, ok, no problem. I bought 2 - 12 oz can of R134A
High side open on line (for metering purposes), Low side open on line
High side closed at gauge, Low side open on gauge (when recharging)
I hook up the can, bleed the yellow line at the bleeder valve on the gauge to get the dead air out of the hose until I see R134A blowing out, I start the car, AC on MAX, I open the low side slowly, let the R134A in,
The AC clutch kicks on about a minute, charges for a couple minutes, low side reads 25, the high side is going to the moon, its like 300+, this on the first can, not even the entire can.
AC fan is on, it's about 70 degrees outside.
Is this a compressor problem? or am I missing something here? I can't seem to recharge the system. I've done this twice, at first I thought my tap was pulling in air into the system.
