96 Honda Civic timing bell issues please help
I hope someone can give me some timing belt advice. My timing belt broke while I was trying to start my car. It was not driving down the road when it broke it was in park. Can anyone tell me if there's a chance that I didn't mess up my pistons and my engine. I do have oil in my spark plug Wells but none of my spark plugs are damaged I'm Il assuming I will probably need a timing belt water pump and head gaskets. I love my car but I don't want to spend the money on replacing everything if my engines already shot. And I was told that there's a good chance that my engine is fine because I was not driving when my timing belt broke. Any advice would be greatly appreciated thank you
put a new belt on and do a compression test is really the only way to tell
I had a Timing Belt break on me while driving with a z6 and it was fine, it's really just luck
