Okay so I bought a project car and it’s a 1997 Honda Accord LX! It’s the second Honda I have owned so fairly new to working on it! It runs and drives great in fact I am using it as a daily driver for gas mileage! It originally was a 4 cylinder non vtec with an automatic trans. The owner before the one I bought it from swapped it with a f23 vtec motor and 5speed manual. There obviously was a lot of work left to do mainly all electrical. It’s got several issues I can tell so far. I do not have vtec because wiring harness does not have the connector for it. My temp gauge rarely works. When I’m in reverse, the lights wouldn’t come on due to not having a sensor for that. CEL does not light up at all and I noticed that the o2 sensors aren’t even plugged up. I want to have everything connected and was wondering what my next steps should be! Car runs pretty perfect and works for everything that I need out of it but it wouldn’t hurt if I could could finish what was started. It has no radio and I’m redoing all the wiring for that due to the fact it has been tampered with and is confusing. I’ve heard that I need a new harness and ecu to run the motor and trans as needed but have a hard time finding exactly what I need. Maybe you guys could assist me with the next steps I can take!
