ZC Low acceleration
HI All,
I'm very new to the EF scene. I just bought an 89' hatchback with a 5 speed ZC swap. Seems to run fine aside from very low idle when cold except that it has absolutely no 'guts'. The acceleration in every gear is super slow. Is this normal or are there some easy things I could check myself before taking her in?

Depends on your definition of "easy".
One quick thing you can do is check if the mechanical timing is correct. Someone may have done a timing belt job incorrectly. Just turn the engine to TDC and see if the marks on the cam gears line up.
Is the CEL on?
