Default Less Acceleration at Full Throttle

Hello Everyone

I am new to the forum but I could not find anything about this when I searched. I have a 2010 Accord v6. For some reason if I put the throttle to the floor my car accelerates slower than it does at about 1/2 throttle. It feels like it is hesitating and when it shifts from first to 2nd it almost launches for a second before seeming to hesitate again. The check engine light is on but I have not tried to get codes yet. I was just wondering if you all had any ideas where I should start looking. I am new to Hondas so any help would be appreciated.

Yeah get those check engine lights resolved. Could be a knock sensor issue pulling timing at full throttle. That would make it dog slow and give terrible fuel economy.
