Proper fuel injectors
I'm working on a build, 1998 Honda Civic Ex, skunk 2 pro series intake with a 70 millimeter throttle body, skunk 2 springs and retainers, aem fuel rail, all motor build. What would be the right fuel injectors to run? I'm thinking about running 370's, I was told to run 550's.
I have an after market fuel pump as well, i intend to use skunk 2 pro cam and reinforced pistons, not sure what im going with yet as for as the pistons. Any suggestions?
OK, wait... let's clarify what ENGINE you intend to build. I assumed a D16Y8 since you said you have a 1998 Civic EX, yet you speak of "Skunk2 Pro series cam(s)", and since they do NOT make a "Pro Series cam" for a single-jingle, I just want to be certain you DO in fact have the SOHC VTEC engine. If you are building a SOHC VTEC engine, the stock sized injectors will be fine... even if you build it up serious NA. If you build a DOHC VTEC like you are speaking, the stock fuel injectors will NOT be enough and you will need a larger set.
The 370s would be fine but I would also advise the 550s, just as your MPG and idle quality won't be impacted at all, and it will give you a little more headroom and efficiency.
I'm assuming you'll be using a Bosch EV14 based Injector. It'll be a good upgrade over the stock.
