Twice while my wife was driving without me, the accellerator will be come sluggish/not as responsive, and multiple lights will come on the dash. By the time I get home and turn the car on, the lights go away and it feel fine to me. The first time it happened we took it to the dealer and they said it was a bad throttle body (which the replaced under warranty). It happened again just last week. Any ideas? 2017 Accord.
Hello, I am having the same problem. It has happened twice. Dealership can't find anything wrong. Did you find out anything?
Dealer said it was the throttle body, and they replaced it. Had the same issue intermittently about a year later. Took it a few times, and the error codes would go away so they couldn't find anything wrong. Recently it got pretty bad, would stop accelerating while idling in traffic on the freeway. Took it in again, at first they said it was a dirty throttle body sensor, so they cleaned that. The next day (today) same problem, so they said they were going to replace it.
The multiple dash lights / sluggish acceleration came on my dad's CRV (specs in signature) when he ran low on engine oil.
Gave a P1009 code, and it was idling really rough when stopped.
The P1009 went away after I topped off the engine oil to the max fill line. Before, it was below the min line, but still visible on the dipstick.
It also happened that he had a massive exhaust leak, causing a P0420, which I found out using a shop vac and soap water (see ChrisFix's tutorial on YouTube for that).
Additionally, and I'm not sure if this is related, but some buffoon mechanic had left the PCV hose disconnected at the air intake box and I found a coating of oil there.
I do see your check engine light is on. You can get the codes read by AutoZone for free, or use a cheap scan tool ($50 or so off Amazon).
