Is there a service tool that I could code a blank key fob? 3 buttons. It has an immobilizer. I see instructions to code the unlock/lock (which I have no idea what the usability of that is if you cannot drive the car) buttons, but they say need a locksmith for $250 to code the immobilizer.

 

Immobilzer needs programmed by a locksmith unless you a high dollar scan tool that will do it.

I'm going to get another key made for my used Civic I recently bought since I only have one. I was quoted $140 for the key, cutting and programming by a large locksmith company.

Unfortunately I'm just going to have to bend over and take it.
