Failed Inspection OBD Issue?
Hey honda folks, today I went to get my 2016 civic inspected. No check engine lights, passed it last year no issue, drives just fine. Only issue with the car is the tire pressure sensor isn't always accurate - but that's no big deal, those sensors are sort of stupid anyways and a pain to change out. Even that hasn't been an issue in a long time (light coming on even though pressures are fine, reset it and it goes away etc). Anyways, I go to get the car inspected and there was a problem connecting to the OBD apparently? I failed inspection because of this. It was a Valvoline standard inspection station. Even they didn't know why this happened and they recommended either trying somewhere else or doing it at Honda. Any ideas on why this would happen in a seemingly fine car that never had a check engine light? I noticed after leaving I had the "Econ" button active during the inspection - would something simple like that actually affect the OBD and fail me? Before I drive all the way out to Honda I thought I'd start here since I just seemed to have thrown about $30 in the trash for nothing
Any and all thoughts appreciated on why this randomly happened and if I should really have Honda inspect it?

they are idiots. nothing wrong with your OBD system. Their equipment may not be able to interpret the HDS system. head to the dealership or somewhere else qualified
