I have a 1989 Honda CRX with what I was told was a 1996 JDM D16 1.6L. After looking at it and finding the engine code I determined it’s in fact a 1996 D16Y4 basically completely stock but with less than 40,000 miles. Healthy engine in every regard. I plan to do a mini me swap and add a supercharger. (“Why not a Turbo?” I’d just rather not go that route at all… I personally like superchargers better.) I will be going with a Y8 head for low end torque on my motor and have yet to find the super charger I’d like to use. I also will be doing a Y8 intake or after market ( Edelbrock or Skunk 2), upgraded pistons (internals might be good I’m not sure) and so on. I’m not sure what a good Cam would be tbh I haven’t seen to much info on that. That’s as far as I’ve thought it through at this time. Ideally I’d like 250WHP as it will be a daily driver but I’m willing also to take the highest number I can get I’m not that hard to please. Any help or assistance would be appreciated let the flaming and gear grinding commence. Thank you ahead of time 🙂.
