I am replacing the front and rear brakes on this CRV. The top and bottom rear slide pins are different. One pin is round and the other has three flats. Also on my CRV the left and right side brake slide pins are reversed. Since the dealer did not re-install the slide pins the same on both sides, I can't determine which goes where.

I understand from other forums the slide pin with the flats may go on the top to porvide for rotating the caliper. So I request which slide pin, round or with flats goes to the top and bottom. Any help in identifying pin locations will be appreciated.

 

Check any parts catalogue available online and if that doesn’t show it in detail, google the part# and find a photo for reference

 

 

Thanks starchland and tech8. I did spend about two hours yesterday looking for a photo. Found one photo of the bag. The parts diagram provided is much more detailed than the diagrams I found. So going with flats on top. I appreciate your quick response.
