Default 1998 Honda Civic LX

I have a 98 civic and it runs and drives good just some minor things I’m curious about.

The intake seems to be for a different motor.

The exhaust manifold doesn’t have a O2 sensor yet I have a cable for one.

When I put it in gear and start to take off it wants to die / stutter unless I give it more gas.

I just want to make it run perfect. I just need to know what I need to do next I’m fairly mechanically inclined.

Look on the left side of the block when you are facing your engine bay. There should be an engine stamp in a square. Is it D16Y7?

Okay then, JDM D15B, there is several variants.

Now you need to locate the head casting stamp, PM6-4 or something of the like. You should be able to see it between the exhaust manifold runners on the head, might be partially behind the exhaust flange on the head.

Need to see if the head is from that block or if it's the original head from the car planted on the JDM block.
