Vibration
I have a 93 Honda civic ex coupe. When I hit the brakes I have a slight vibration I took off the tires and wheels to check the rotors and front brake pads they seem to look okay but some idiot cross threaded two of my bolts on the driver side one rung off so I got to get that fixed but another one is still cross threaded but didn't bother that one until I get ready to fix them but my question is will that make a car vibrate or can you not tell if the rotors are bad by looking at them? or could it be the back rotors thanks for any suggestion.
You could only see a warped rotor of it was really bad. If you have a dial indicator you could set up on disk and rotate by hand to check runout. Trust me I have bought new rotors from one of those autopart stores and vibrate like hell, I could only tell warped with dial indicator - in short warped out of the box and obvious in first 100 feet of driving.
If you feel vibration when using the brakes then it is most likely the rotors.

well now you see I'm a female so it's kinda hard for me to explain but bear with me I appreciate it. It's not the whole car that shakes it's makes like a muffled noise when I hit my brakes but I guess shakes at the pedal but the sound is like a muffled thump. But it don't shake real bad the noise is worst than the shake Hope it makes sense. Thanks
