Code 22 vtec pressure switch
Hello, I’ve got a 93 civic hatch with a b16A (p30/pr3-1) swapped into it. It’s obd1.Not sure what ecu I’ve got in it, but I got the code 22 the other day. I’ve read that the usdm b16’s have a switch but the jdm b16’s don’t, is this true? If so, does bypassing the vtec pressure switch work on all the “p” series ecu’s or does it just work on certain ecus (p30, p28, etc)? I’ve read this http://www.phearable.net/tech/wiring/vtpsbypass.gif, but I’m still a tad bit confused.
thanks in advance!
thanks in advance!
I haven't seen any JDM B16A's with a VTEC Pressure switch... they are either capped/plugged with a bolt or the housing itself isn't drilled for such a device.
Obd1 jdm p30 will throw a code for it, at least in my experience with my motor
I got my b16a and jdm p30 back in 2003 from hmotorsonline, came with the pressure switch on the motor and will throw code if unplugged

Very interesting... thank you for sharing your experience.
