1999 Accord Seat Swap ....Question please!
Okay.....I've read about a dozen threads on this issue, and still haven't seen an answer to this question. I have a 1999 Accord EX 4 door sedan F23A1 2.3L.....I found some VERY decent 2001 Coupe leather seats .....I know the inner rails must be swapped and all that jazz, but will fit. My question is this, my 99 DOES NOT have seat air bags, the seats I am looking at DO HAVE them....how do I reconcile them if I install SRS equipped seats into my NON-SRS Accord? Can the airbags be deleted on the new seats (electronically anyway)? What exactly needs to be done to install SRS equipped seats into an Accord that did not originally come equipped with them? Thanks all.
Are you attempting to hook up the airbags and get them functional in the event of a collision? That could be costly given you may need additional side-impact sensors, wiring, and potentially a new Airbag Control Module (SRS brain).
If you are not concerned with them being functuonal, the car won't be expecting them so leaving them unconnected will not trigger any SRS faults.

No, don't really care if they are functional, just don't want any SRS fault codes popping up, but I guess if the car isn't built for them it probably should affect the existing SRS system then, correct? Thanks again.
Okay......so I picked up these sweet black leather 2001 CL seats and they pretty much bolted directly into my 99 Accord. Now, I just need to wire them. Does anyone have, or know where I can find the wiring schematics for the Accord front driver and the 2 CL seats? Or even better, a DIY step-by-step someone has posted? Thanks.
