Default 2000 Honda Civic w/D16y7 engine, Manual Trans

My Grandson and son bought the subject car. It ran but really bad. The intake manifold is a P2K IPT-2. Will the engine perform correctly with this manifold, that is, will it work ok or does he need to switch it? Also, we know there are wiring issues. The engine is out of the car so he can restore it, great body 2 dr. ex.
It also has the incorrect throttle body. I did purchase a wiring harness and ecu for the ex. Please, any help will be greatly appreciated. please tell me what simplest and easiest solution(s) will be.
I did restore 3 American cars. The modern cares are so different.

Awesome user name! Welcome,

I'm sure someone will chime in soon with more accurate info but if I'm not mistaken I believe if you find your self the complete Y8 intake manifold off of a EX D16Y8 with the EX engine harness and ECU it should run fine. The Y7 and Y8 manifolds are completely different in design as well as have a different idle air control valve, one having 2 wires the other 3 wires. Mismatching these parts will cause performance/ idle issues.
