Im here because i have a Ridgeline rt (2008)
and an Element ( 2003).
Replacing the the Suspension on the Element.I followed its’ development in spy reports,when it was known as project X, & its the only car ive ever owned that i was a huge fan of prior to owning. ( It was also a gift from my mom who told me it was probably the last thing she would be able to do for me before her Alzheimer’s took over, & it was)Ill keep it as long as I can.
as for the ridgeline? I wont. Too big for SF parking, too expensive low mpg, maintenance, etc.
recently found that mine was one of 30 ( yes 30) with a recall for a hood prop rod, which honda has overlooked even when volunteering to search any recalls when they tracked me down to replace the airbags. Result i must search for my hood prop in the trunk because it slips loose & hits a belt if i dont. When unable to locate it ive propped the hood with a crowbar, rebar, etc. i discovered the recall service notice by accident on a forum so clearly see the potential benefit.
