Are there any differences, part numbers, weight, etc in the balance shafts between the H22a4, F20b and h23a vtec? I have a solid poly mounted and deleted H23a in the back of a 1977 Fiat X1/9 and the vibration at idle is bad. Looking to undelete it. I no longer have the H23a shafts but i do have an H22a4 and an F20b that still has the shafts in them.
Holy crap this Fiat is sick!! You are running 87x95mm in a go kart w doors, the vibrations will definitely be amplified vs a 3000lb prelude chassis.
lol I went 95a mounts w 97mm crank and it shakes the hell out of that little 2ply civic unibody at idle. The main reason I left shaft belt off was dealing w clocking those things, assuming they even need to be timed? I grew to enjoy the idle shake anyways, oddly soothing w a quite exhaust, like a diesel sailboat or amtrak
Any chance anybody found any info on this? I have h2b h23vtec in my rd1 crv, missing balance belt along with the gear/sprocket on front/exhaust side balance shaft, trying to source the correct gear is proving difficult, i have solid motor mounts and am also aiming to decrease vibrations.
I'm working on doing the same to my RD1 CR-V. I have some questions about the swap, if you have time to add me on Instagram or Messenger
Any help is appreciated
