sooo long story short I got an 08 civic, pretty happy cause it meant my family listened in to my car rants but the issue it’s a hybrid. So I wanted to know if there was a way to convert it to just a regular civic especially cause of the mods I want to do, I doubt could work on a hybrid and just the price to fix the IMA when it comes down to it...just wild.

 

Not really without a heap of money and a matching pile of talent.

Good news is that generation of Civic hybrid is pretty reliable. IMA battery may fail at some point but it will continue to function and get the same MPG, just at a slightly slower rate of acceleration.

If you really dislike the hybrid system the best option would be to sell it and buy something else.
