Hi all,
getting back here - hopefully someone can help out. Recently I got myself a spoiler for my Honda Civic coupe EJ1. Numbers on it said KBA 37567, made in Austria for Honda (Europe). Spoiler markings
As it's a prefect fit for a car, so it fitted perfectly on a car. Spoiler fitting
But the registration company in my country (Croatia) asks for a certificate.
So I've asked Ruting Honda in Croatia (general distributor - didn't help at all), Honda Austria (no help there, even though they managed that with sub-supplier), even Honda Europe (they washed their hands as it's an American car for American market).
I've never been more disappointed in Honda, then I'm right now. As they can't issue a paper that that KBA 37567 is actually 08F02-SR4-600EH intended for EJ1, EJ2, EH4, EH5, EH8 & EH9 chassis. One simple document, which says it all.
Too bad, but this disappointment got me so upset with Honda - that I want to sell my Young-timer. Anybody wants to buy Honda?
You need to research MS Design, as they manufactured all the body kits for Honda in the 90s in Continental Europe.
Quick google turned up this for the hatchback, but it's a rabbit hole that will have many dead ends.
Possibly something from TUV in Germany might help? They'll have sanctioned all the body kit parts.
TUV is out of the question, as order for TUV was either MS Design or Honda. So no way to issue me that, which was paid from someone other (those are strict Germans).
But maybe MS Design would help. Especially is they have some sort of manufacturing in Austria. Will check that out!
Finally found out & got the certificate. The company for that OEM part was called F/O/R from Austria, but was bought & now it is called POLYTEC Group, more exactly POLYTEC CAR STYLING Hörsching in Austria.
So next thing is to get certificate from my mechanic & go to register the car. Hope this info helps out someone in the future. 👍
