90 accord COOLANT WEEP HOLE LEAK
My Accord has a massive coolant leak which seems to be pouring directly from weep hole around timing belt cover. I took it to a mechanic who done pressure test only in which it failed immediately and he said head gasket . water pours out weep hole even when car not running .
My question is is my head gasket bad or can it be a water pump replacement will fix my issue? This is my only vehicle so please help if you can thank you

The weep hole is a bad seal in the water pump. It keeps coolant from getting into the bearings. Also an obvious sign you need a water pump.
If you do not have bubbles in your coolant (engine running), steam (white smoke) from your exhaust or coolant in the oil. there is no reason for a head gasket.
you can check the head gasket with a leak down test or compression test. Very safe to say just a water pump.
if you are in there should do timing belts.
Sounds like they want your money to me.

I agree, I would say that's an unusual response from a mechanic. It's 99% a water pump.
While in there, do the whole timing belt change as well and if did that then the water pump should have been changed at that time. AISIN is the kit most of us use for all of it. Rockauto is your friend.
