2012 V6 Timing Belt Job - Having trouble finding this bolt
Factory service manual says to replace these bolts holding on the lower engine side (timing side) mount bracket, but I can't seem to find the part number for them anywhere. Can anyone help a guy out?
Re: 2012 V6 Timing Belt Job - Having trouble finding this bolt
The two upper bolts are Honda Part No.: 95801-10105-08 BOLT, FLANGE (10X105).
The one bottom bolt is Honda Part No.: 90002-R70-A00 BOLT, FLANGE (10X85).

Thats weird. Ive never seen that. They are not TTY bolts. My guess is that is a typo.
Honda has used that exact same bolt since at least '03(same part number) and never called out for its replacement before.
Ive never replaced em and I have done several hundred Tbelt jobs on these vehicles......

Another oddity.
Im not telling you not to do it, I just find it strange and wonder if it is indeed a typo or what their reasoning could be now, after all these years.....

Youre right,it is. I suppose it has been awhile since Ive actually looked up the service procedure.
Out of curiosity I looked up the procedure on an '03, '05, and '07 and none of those procedures declare that the bolt(s) should be replaced.
I guess it started in '08 and continues to this day(last car I checked was a 2020 Acura TLX which also declares to replace the bolts in question)
No where could I find a reason though.
My guess is the bolts have thread locker or some other coating on them. Same as many of the suspension bolts.(which often times also call for replacement)
They are definitely not TTY bolts and aren't likely to suffer structural failure.

What I'm most surprised about is I bought this car from a Honda dealer with 134k miles and they didn't do the timing belt / water pump on it. No biggie, it's costing me a grand total of $160 but I am also replacing the auto tensioner for the serpentine belt and that ain't cheap either.

The pulley bolt and the lower bracket bolt both have some kind of thread locker. The top two look normal to me.
