About to get a 96 GSR..
So,
I finally found the GSR I want.. 96, 83k miles, great condition. The dealer wants 8900 for the car, KBB values it at 9300. Here is the problem.. I'm falling under the first-time buyer financing the only thing I have on my credit is BAD (long story) so I'm going to get charged a shitload of interest.
I got an insurance quote for $300.00 a month, on that car, full coverage.. financed over 3 years I'm looking at paying 327 maybe less on the GSR - thats about 600 month for a 1996 car. Sounds stupid, but.. I don't have the ability to get a co-signer and I'm running out of ideas to build credit other than taking it in the *** for 6 months then refinancing.
I make good money so the car payments aren't a problem.. my plan was to BUILD credit with this car, pre-pay it as much as I can.. own it in a year then trading it in with a decent credit and getting a newer car - or just keep the GSR and start modding it heavily.. any thoughts?

If the payments are no problem then go for it. It will definatly boost your credit. Boy, am I glad my dad told me to get a CC at 16 and start building credit. all of my creditcards are at 9.9% now.
