Whats the best headlights (bang for buck) on a 95 Accord sedan?
My son has some setup which is 3 projector looking bulbs with angel eyes around them and side vertical blinkers (almost like a E39 BMW M5). One of them is crooked and another is dim, one of the angel eyes doesn't work.
His car came with a body kit, he is happy with it. The car only has 2 owners and 89k miles (parents transferred it to son). He wants something 'cool', but I can't find that same headlight online. I found the SIR replicas that are smoked (his car was repainted black with a slight green tint), but I am not sure on their light output. Headlights are real important to me as I do a lot of spirited night driving even now at almost 50 years old. My cars have bi-Xenon for a long time now. Not looking for that investment, but if I can do a nice light with some killer bulbs that don't blind everyone...he'd love that.
Thanks

You can get Depo SiR replicas with the proper corners(not smoked) on eBay for around $160 last I looked. They're excellent quality. I've had the same set for 10 years with no problems.
The light output is going to depend on the bulb. Most of the stock and aftermarket stuff is going to be halogen. There are modern LED conversion kits available but I'm really unsure if they're any good or legal. The craze back when I built my car was to retrofit true projectors into halogen based housings and run Xenon kits. Personally I just run quality halogen bulbs in the low beams and 2500k high beams. The highs are a lot more yellow and aid in visibility at night. More than sufficient for pitch black driving in the woods.

If light output is the primary concern (but it sounds like it might not be since there is a "coolness" being looked for here), I switched from standard bulbs to the Hikari LED bulbs, and that alone I found to be a great upgrade over "old style" bulbs. I would subjectively say I had 50% brighter light and 50% better ability to see down the road more clearly. They didn't require anything special to plug them in, and they don't cause any weird lighting issue or errors with the cars.
