Clutch, help?
So I have a 1997 Honda Accord coupe VTEC 5 speed.
I I just put a brand new clutch in it and I am a mechanic and I've done many of these. but for some reason the thing is just slipping like the old clutch and I've no idea why.
Any insight or advice as to why this is happening would be most welcomed.

OK, lets think about this, what else do you have that could cause the issue:
1 - You said you changed the clutch, did you change the flywheel?
2 - The clutch reservoir , master cylinder or any item along that line be leaking or dead?
3 - Adjustment of the clutch is perhaps not engaging early enough?
4 - Fluid level of clutch cylinder is low?
5 - Could oil from the throwout bearing area or rear main seal be leaking onto the clutch to cause it to slip?
6 - If you did replace the flywheel, could it be the wrong thickness?
Those would be some of my first thoughts and guesses.

and other than pedal Heights I don't know of any other adjustment that I can make to the clutch
The only time something similar happened to me was some years ago on a small sports car. I discovered I forgot to install the pivot pin for throw-out bearing fork so the bearing was not retracting properly, among other problems.. At least, after all these long years, I think that's how it went.
No adjustment I know of for a hydraulic clutch. At least on the rigs I've worked on.
Some anomaly with the slave cylinder or its mounting, so that it doesn't fully release?
Bell housing not cinched up tight (seems unlikely)?
Not a lot of opportunity for things to go wrong if hey sold you the right parts.
I don't think I been much help. Frustrating.

This is for 96-00 accord/ prelude.
Yes, having adjusted a few clutches I can usually find some adjustment on them somewhere.
But someone above did make a good point as well: were the parts correct.
Although you didn't replace the flywheel, did you re-finish it? Were there scorch marks? At least for me replacing the flywheel or at least refinishing it after measuring it would be de rigueur. Did you measure thickness of the flywheel then? It could be too thin.
The more I think about it, the more I'd suspect the flywheel in some way to be the problem. an unfinished surface would create some slippage, especially since it's not going to be smooth at all, and probably wavy so you've lost a lot of the friction, especially with a new non-mated clutch. But it could, on top of that, be too thin, making it too far a distance to maintain a grip, worsened by an unfinished plate.
Anyway, that's my guess.
