Careful when you say same year Integra - the first gen 88-89 had the D16A1, but 90-93 Integra had the B-series. I would assume that the D15 and D16A1 share the same bolt pattern "all D series are the same" but I would want to verify that before buying anything. The D16A1 was an oddball D engine, so the trans could be different as well.

What's going on with your automatic trans? Maybe you can rebuild it?

If that's all it is, I'd change the fluid and filter (if it has one). I took a quick look at some older HT threads, new fluid (and maybe an additive) seems to ease the shifting. After that people recommend adjusting the throttle control cable, on the trans of course. Totally forgot these auto trans are cable operated too hah.

My Haynes manual (84-91 Civics) goes over adjusting the throttle cable for the trans. Make sure bracket is adjusted correctly, apply vacuum to "the dashpot", loosen/tighten the securing nuts and ensure cable freeplay is to specifcation:
It states that the throttle cable deflection should be within 3/16 inch to 3/8 inch (4-10mm). It does not specify whether that is for the actual throttle body, transmission, or - what I assume - both.
I don't remember if I have a vacuum tool here so I'd probably give it a shot without it first lol.
